Troubleshooting Common Golf GPS Issues
General, independent guidance for common GPS, course-loading, and battery issues. For warranty or product-specific problems, contact official support.
GPS taking a long time to lock
Give the device a clear view of the sky and a few minutes, especially the first time in a new area or after not being used for a while. Standing still initially, rather than moving, can help it lock faster.
A course isn't loaded on the device
Very new, very small, or private courses aren't always included in every course-mapping database. Check the manufacturer's course list or update tool to see if the course can be added.
Battery won't charge fully
Try a different USB cable or power source, confirm the charging port is clean and free of debris, and check whether the battery has simply degraded with age and heavy use over time.
Magnet won't hold securely to the cart
Confirm you're mounting to a genuinely magnetic metal surface (not aluminum or plastic trim), and clean both the device and cart surface of dirt or moisture that can weaken the hold.
Distances seem inaccurate
Small variances are normal; if distances seem significantly off, confirm you're on the correct, currently updated course map and that the device has a strong GPS lock rather than a weak or recently-acquired signal.
Auto-hole advance isn't working
This feature relies on GPS position, so a weak signal can prevent it from triggering correctly; try manually advancing if the signal seems weak, and check for a firmware update if the issue persists.
Touchscreen unresponsive or glitchy
Moisture, screen protectors, or wearing gloves can sometimes interfere with touchscreen responsiveness; try a firm, dry touch, and check the manufacturer's cleaning guidance for the display.
Warranty or return questions
Check your order confirmation or account for warranty terms, and use the manufacturer's official warranty or returns process rather than a third party for any claim.
